تلاش جنرال الکتریک برای معرفی خود به عنوان حامی محیط «زیست و «شرکت سبز در سال 2005 جنرال الکتریک با راه اندازی ۶6۵۳۵918۵0 تلاش کرد تا خود را در لیست شرکت های سبز جای دهد .اين شرکت ‎sly‏ پیدا کردن راه حل هایی برای تولید انرژی خورشیدی, لکوموتیوهای هیبریدی و تکنولوژی های جدید تصفیه آب به وجود آمده بود. این شرکت هم اکنون یکی از بزرگ ترین باریتران له توربین های بادی است و همچتین محصولات جدید سازگار با طبیعت را تولید می کند.
