Introduction to earth & space
Mercury is the closest planet to
the Sun and the smallest one in
the entire Solar System. Contrary
to popular belief, this planet's
name has nothing to do with the
liquid metal. Mercury was,
instead, named after the famous
Roman messenger god Mercurius
Mercury takes a little more than
58 days to complete its rotation,
so try to imagine how long days
must be there! Since the
temperatures are so extreme,
albeit not as extreme as on
Venus, Mercury has been deemed
to be non-habitable for humans

Modeling the water cycle
Materials
● A clear plastic container with a
lid
● Water
● Blue food coloring
● Heat source (lamp or sunlight)
● Ice cubes
● Plastic wrap
● Rubber band
Objective
Demonstrate the different stages of the water cycle and
understand how water moves through Earth's systems
Steps
01
Prepare the Earth container
02
Place the lid on the container to represent Earth's
atmosphere
03
Observe what happens when the container is exposed
to heat
04
Cover the top of the container with plastic wrap and
secure it with a rubber band
05
As condensation occurs on the plastic wrap, observe
"precipitation" in the form of water droplets collecting
on the plastic wrap and falling back into the "ocean"

Five curious facts
01
The elegant structure of DNA, discovered by Watson and Crick, holds the genetic
blueprint of life in a double helical form
02
The complex network of neurons in our brains enables the formation of thoughts and
memories, giving rise to consciousness
03
Black holes, formed from collapsed stars, possess gravitational forces so intense that
they warp the fabric of space and time around them.
04
In the quantum world, particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously, a
phenomenon known as superposition, challenging our classical notions of reality
05
Through photosynthesis, plants convert sunlight into energy, creating a magical process
that sustains life on Earth.
Thanks!
